UNITED STATES, 08 October 2025 – Freida Parton, the younger sister of country music star Dolly Parton, has publicly asked fans to pray for the singer. Freida shared a message on social media, telling the world that Dolly “hasn’t been feeling her best lately.”

Freida wrote that she was “up all night praying” for her sister and asked everyone who loves Dolly to be “prayer warriors” and pray with her.

The request for prayers comes after Dolly, who is 79, had to postpone her upcoming shows in Las Vegas. Dolly said she was facing “health challenges” and that doctors told her she needed to have “a few procedures.”

One known health issue is a kidney stone that caused an infection, which is why doctors told her not to travel.

However, after her first post caused a lot of worry among fans, Freida later made a second post to calm everyone down.

She explained that she “didn’t mean to scare anyone or make it sound so serious.” She added that it was just “a little sister asking for prayers for her big sister.”

Dolly has made it clear she is not quitting music. She joked that her health issue was like a “100,000-mile check-up” and promised fans she just needs time to get better so she can deliver the great show they deserve.
