UNITED STATES, 05 October 2025 – The long fight between two of rap’s biggest stars, Nicki Minaj and Cardi B, blew up again this week on X (formerly Twitter).

The argument quickly became much more than a music battle, crossing a major line by bringing their children into the very nasty public fight.

The latest round started right after Cardi B released her new album. Nicki Minaj kicked things off by making fun of the album’s sales, tweeting things like a low price point to suggest the album wasn’t selling well.

Cardi B hit back hard, telling Nicki to stop picking on her and focus on beating stars her own age, like Taylor Swift and Drake.

But the argument got truly ugly and personal when the rappers started attacking each other’s families. Nicki Minaj started by insulting Cardi B’s daughter, Kulture, calling her “ugly” and other bad names.

Cardi B fired back by making unconfirmed, mean comments about Nicki Minaj’s son and his health.

The online brawl was so severe and mean-spirited that many fans and people in the music business spoke out, saying both women went way too far by involving innocent children.

Cardi B eventually announced she was done with the online fight, saying she needed to protect her career and brand deals.

While Nicki Minaj later offered a rare public apology to Cardi B’s daughter, Cardi B rejected it, warning her rival to never mention her children again.

This whole situation shows how quickly a rap battle can turn into something harmful and messy when personal lives, especially kids, are put out in public.
