Waterloo, 24 September 2026 – BlackBerry has lifted its fiscal 2027 revenue outlook after its QNX embedded-software business recorded US$80.3 million in second-quarter revenue, up 27% from a year earlier. Group revenue for the three months ended 31 August rose 26% to US$163.3 million. The company now expects full-year revenue of US$616 million to US$636 million, with QNX contributing US$315 million to US$325 million. These are company guidance ranges, not achieved full-year results.
QNX supplies software for safety-critical systems in vehicles and other industrial applications. Its adjusted gross margin reached 87%, four percentage points higher year on year, while segment adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation rose 41% to US$29 million. The combination of revenue growth and high margins supports the argument that software content per connected vehicle can increase as manufacturers redesign electronic architecture. It does not remove dependence on automotive programme timing.
