New York, 8 October 2026 – Elliott Investment Management and Siris Capital are exploring a potential sale of Gigamon that could value the network-intelligence company at more than US$2 billion, according to people familiar with the matter. The early-stage process brings renewed attention to the strategic value of software that gives enterprises visibility across increasingly complex cloud, data-centre and cybersecurity environments.
Bank of America and Perella Weinberg Partners are advising the owners, although no transaction is assured and the shareholders could decide to retain the business. That distinction matters for investors because preliminary sale discussions establish neither a final valuation nor a committed buyer. Market conditions, financing costs and due diligence can materially change the outcome.
