Kuala Lumpur, 8 October 2026 – Malaysia’s Ministry of Digital, through MyDIGITAL Corporation, is funding access to Coursera learning under the Rakyat Digital Global Learning Pass, with 100,000 licences being rolled out in phases. The initiative broadens access to digital and artificial intelligence training, while putting the focus on whether online learning translates into skills that employers and businesses can use.

Eligible Malaysians with a MyDigital ID can receive three months of complimentary access to more than 16,000 courses and Professional Certificate programmes. The catalogue covers AI, technology, data science, business and digital literacy. The phased rollout began in September, and participation remains subject to eligibility and availability rather than an unlimited entitlement to free learning.
