Kuala Lumpur, 5 November 2026 – Banking heavyweights lifted the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI by 19.30 points, or 1.19%, to 1,635.86 at Thursday’s close after Bank Negara Malaysia held its Overnight Policy Rate at 2.75%. The benchmark advanced from Wednesday’s 1,616.56 finish, but the wider market was weaker: 723 counters declined against 497 that rose.
