Bursa Malaysia Opens Higher on Mild Bargain Hunting as Investors Stay Selective

Kuala Lumpur, 23 June 2026 – Bursa Malaysia opened higher on Tuesday as mild bargain hunting emerged in selected counters, giving the local market a tentative lift after recent profit-taking and a cautious regional trading backdrop.

The benchmark FBM KLCI opened at 1,703.10, above its reference level of 1,700.84, as investors returned selectively to index-linked names and counters that had pulled back in the previous session. The early gain suggested that local market participants were still willing to accumulate quality stocks on weakness, although overall sentiment remained measured.
