Beijing, 22 June 2026 – China has imposed export controls on 10 United States companies, marking another escalation in the widening trade and technology dispute between the world’s two largest economies as both sides tighten restrictions on sensitive industries, strategic materials and dual-use products.
The latest move places selected US entities on China’s export-control list, prohibiting Chinese exporters from selling dual-use items to them. Dual-use goods are products, technologies or materials that may have both civilian and sensitive strategic applications, making them increasingly central to the global contest over supply chains, advanced manufacturing and national security.
