Amcor Opens US$35 Million Healthcare Packaging Facility In Selangor, Strengthening Malaysia’s Advanced Manufacturing Ambitions

Kuala Lumpur, 27 April 2026 – Global packaging solutions company Amcor has opened a new advanced healthcare packaging coating facility in Subang Jaya, Selangor, marking a US$35 million investment that strengthens Malaysia’s role in the regional medical packaging and healthcare manufacturing supply chain.

The facility, officially opened on 24 April, introduces air-knife coating technology to Southeast Asia for the production of coated medical paper used in sterile medical device packaging. The investment expands Amcor’s manufacturing footprint in Malaysia and supports the country’s push to attract higher-value industrial activity in healthcare, life sciences and advanced manufacturing.
