Hong Kong, 10 July 2026 – Tencent is leading an investor group to unwind Meta Platforms’ US$2 billion acquisition of AI agent startup Manus, after Chinese authorities moved to reverse the deal amid growing scrutiny over strategic artificial intelligence assets.
