Anthropic Adds Official Voting Data to Claude Ahead of US Midterms

San Francisco, 15 October 2026 – Anthropic will begin drawing official US voting information into Claude later this month, giving users state-specific answers on polling locations, identification requirements and other election logistics ahead of the November midterms. The artificial-intelligence company also plans to show current official results on election night and in the days that follow.

The information will come from Democracy Works, a non-partisan organisation that collects publicly available material from state and local election authorities. Claude already displays a link to its TurboVote service when users ask about registration, polling places or election dates. The new integration brings those details directly into the conversation, reducing the need for users to leave the chatbot to verify basic logistics.
