Seoul, 19 August 2026 – SK Hynix’s South Korean labour union is finalising the wording of a tentative wage agreement with management, with members expected to receive a briefing before a vote. The talks have moved into a late stage, but the structure of incentive payments remains a material point of contention.
A source familiar with the negotiations said both sides were making last-minute efforts to resolve differences. The tentative deal still requires approval from union members, leaving the outcome sensitive to how workers assess the balance between immediate cash, long-term value and certainty over future rewards.
