Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 4 November 2026 – Sime Darby Property Berhad is exploring a potential real estate investment trust listing by 2028, according to Maybank Investment Bank. Following a recent company briefing, the bank identified a possible pipeline comprising two data centres backed by 20-year leases, together with logistics and warehouse assets at E-Metro Logistics Park in Klang.
For Malaysian property investors, the proposal would offer another route to recycle capital from completed assets into new developments while building recurring income. It remains an option under consideration, not a confirmed listing or an announced fundraising. The distinction matters because asset selection, transaction terms and the eventual economics have not been established in the reported briefing.
