Singapore, 27 October 2026 – Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation (OCBC) has been ranked the strongest bank in Asia-Pacific and third globally in the latest assessment of the world’s 1,000 largest banks. It is the first Singapore bank to place in the ranking’s global top three since the list began in 2023. DBS was ranked 23rd and United Overseas Bank (UOB) 187th.

The result offers Asian investors a comparative signal about bank scale, growth, risk and balance-sheet quality, but it is not a substitute for financial analysis or a forecast of returns. The ranking uses seven criteria and places OCBC ahead of regional peers on the combined measure. Its share price has also gained about 72% over the past year, according to the report, a separate market fact that should not be confused with the ranking itself.
