KUALA LUMPUR, 17 October 2025Mestron Energy Sdn Bhd, the renewable energy arm of Mestron Holdings Berhad (Bursa Malaysia: 0207), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Trina Solar Co., Ltd (Trinasolar), a global leader in smart photovoltaic (PV) and energy storage solutions, to jointly enhance Malaysia’s renewable energy capacity and accelerate the nation’s clean energy transition.

Under the agreement, Trinasolar will supply 50MW of high-efficiency Vertex N-type solar modules for Mestron Energy’s upcoming renewable energy projects across Malaysia.

The partnership strengthens Mestron Energy’s commitment to supporting the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR) and aligns with the government’s net-zero carbon emissions target by 2050.

“This partnership marks another important step in Mestron’s renewable energy journey. Collaborating with Trinasolar allows us to combine world-class solar technology with our local project expertise to deliver efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective energy solutions.

“Together, we aim to contribute meaningfully to Malaysia’s clean energy ecosystem and the broader ASEAN renewable energy landscape,” said Por Teong Eng, Managing Director of Mestron Holdings Berhad.

Mestron Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mestron Holdings Berhad, has been expanding its footprint across solar, biogas, hydro, and energy efficiency projects.

With its strong engineering capabilities and extensive infrastructure network, the company is developing a diversified renewable energy portfolio to meet Malaysia’s increasing demand for sustainable power solutions.

“We are pleased to partner with Mestron Energy to deliver advanced, cost-effective solar solutions that support Malaysia’s clean-energy ambitions,” said Ku Jun Heong, Vice President of Trinasolar’s Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa region. Our Vertex N modules are designed to maximise energy yield and lower the levelised cost of energy,” he added.

As a pioneer in Malaysia’s pole manufacturing industry, Mestron Holdings Berhad has evolved from providing lighting and infrastructure solutions to becoming an integrated renewable energy player.

Through this collaboration, Mestron Energy gains access to Trinasolar’s world-class solar technologies, which have achieved over 292GW of cumulative global module shipments as of March 2025, further empowering Malaysia’s clean energy transformation.

The partnership highlights the rising momentum in corporate renewable energy adoption and reinforces ASEAN’s position as a regional hub for clean energy innovation.

By combining local expertise with global technological leadership, Mestron Energy and Trinasolar are poised to play a pivotal role in shaping a more sustainable, resilient, and low-carbon future for Malaysia and the wider region.
