Haier Malaysia Appoints Sun Menghao as Managing Director to Accelerate Smart-Living Ecosystem Expansion

Kuala Lumpur, 17 August 2026 – Consumer appliances and smart-home solutions provider Haier Malaysia has appointed Sun Menghao as its new Managing Director, effective 12 August 2026, marking a strategic leadership transition designed to steer the group’s next phase of market expansion, operational excellence, and digital smart-living integration across Malaysia.

Sun brings a decade of leadership experience across the broader Haier Group, including a five-year tenure with AQUA Vietnam, a major regional subsidiary within the group’s Southeast Asian operating network. Prior to his current appointment in Malaysia, Sun served as Director of the Cooling Category at AQUA Vietnam, where he directed product development, supply chain distribution, and commercial strategy for the brand’s core refrigerator and freezer business segments. His deep operational background across manufacturing, cooling technology, and ASEAN consumer electronics markets positions him to drive Haier Malaysia’s commercial penetration across both mass-market and premium smart home segments.
