KUALA LUMPUR, 13 November 2025 – Payment gateway provider Fiuu has announced a 32% year-on-year growth in payment volume to US$8.3 billion in the first nine months of 2025.

The increase is attributed to the rise in digital transaction in Southeast Asia. The company will continue enhancing its regional network and cross-border capabilities, with plans to unveil new features for SMEs and international merchants.

Eng Sheng Guan, CEO of Fiuu, said, “Malaysia has moved faster on digital payments than many global markets. Customers expect convenience, and businesses are responding. We are seeing strong momentum across our payment solutions as businesses look for seamless ways to accept and manage payments across different channels.”

Fiuu has inked many strategic partnerships including collaborations with Affin Bank, PayNet, and Pos Malaysia. Most recently in October 2025, it was the first payment acquirer in the country to enable Samsung Pay Online for more than 300 ecommerce merchants, covering F&B, health, wellness, pharmacy, and entertainment.

The growth in processed payments in the first three quarters of this year reflects the rise in adoption of digital payments across Southeast Asia, signalling both consumer readiness and merchant responsiveness. Fiuu’s expansion and partnerships indicates a maturing payments ecosystem where convenience, cross-border capabilities, and interoperability are becoming key differentiators.

For SMEs and international merchants, this means greater access to scalable payment solutions, and enhanced competition among providers, which could drive innovation, result in better service offerings, and more seamless integration across channels.
