SEPANG, 27 October 2025 — Shell Malaysia marked 26 years of technical partnership with Ducati Corse in MotoGP by unveiling the new Shell Advance Ultra 10W-50 (API SP), a premium motorcycle oil trusted by riders worldwide. The celebration took place on 25 October 2025 at the Sepang International Circuit, during the 2025 MotoGP weekend.
Formulated with Shell PurePlus Technology, a revolutionary process that converts natural gas into crystal-clear base oil with 99.5% purity, Shell Advance Ultra is engineered to deliver superior power, performance, and protection. Now upgraded to meet the latest API SP standard, the premium range enables riders around the world to ride with confidence.
“Shell Advance, Malaysia’s No. 1 motorcycle oil brand, continues to elevate its technical partnership with Ducati Corse, bringing world-class innovation from the MotoGP track to everyday Malaysian riders. Our flagship product, Shell Advance Ultra, is co-developed with Ducati and tested under extreme conditions to deliver unmatched power, protection, and performance on both road and track.
We’re deeply grateful to our riders and mechanics whose passion fuels our journey forward. Their trust and dedication embody the spirit of Shell Advance, inspiring us to keep pushing boundaries every single day,” said Darlina Mohd Sibi, Cluster General Manager, Shell Lubricants MY/SG and Southeast Asia.
A recent blind performance test comparing Shell Advance Ultra with an ester-based lubricant revealed a clear outcome: participating riders consistently chose Shell Advance for its better acceleration, smoother gear changes, and quieter engine operation.
Shell Advance is the only motorcycle engine oil used and recommended by Ducati Corse, and this long-standing partnership has powered Ducati to a historic treble victory in 2025, clinching the MotoGP Teams’ World Championship, Constructors’ Championship, and Riders’ Championship with Marc Marquez.
Shell Advance Ultra retains horsepower across a wide range of speeds for up to 20,000 km, delivers longer-lasting performance with over 90% cleaner engine components, and improves fuel efficiency by up to five km per litre.
“We’re proud to collaborate with Shell Advance to push the boundaries of technological innovation and bring Ducati Corse’s winning performance to riders everywhere.
For more than two decades, Ducati Corse has trusted Shell Advance at the highest level of MotoGP racing, and this year we’re proud to celebrate our sixth consecutive Constructors’ Championship together. It’s a privilege to bring that same winning technology to Malaysian riders so they can experience proven performance on the road,” said Mauro Grassilli, Ducati Corse Sporting Director.
The launch of Shell Advance Ultra also kicks off the Shell Advance #CrazyGoodOil campaign in Malaysia, featuring Ducati Corse riders Marc Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia, alongside a series of exciting trade and consumer-led activations.
In addition to the flagship Shell Advance Ultra 10W-50, the Shell Advance portfolio includes premium products such as Advance Power 15W-50, Advance Long Ride 10W-40, and the AX7 semi-synthetic series (10W-40, 15W-50).
The MotoGP weekend also welcomed over 140 participants from the Global Master Mechanic programme, an international initiative by Shell that recognises and trains top mechanics worldwide. The programme reflects Shell’s commitment to performance excellence, technical expertise, and continuous innovation through its global network of specialists.
