Paris, 6 November 2026 – Rockstar Games is scheduled to release Grand Theft Auto VI on 19 November, nearly 13 years after its predecessor. The launch is a central part of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc.’s plans for the fiscal year ending 31 March 2027. Reporting ahead of the release puts the game’s budget above US$1 billion, but that figure is not a standalone development-cost disclosure in the company’s published earnings materials.
For Asian investors and businesses exposed to video games, the launch offers a test of how much spending a single title can attract after a long production cycle. Demand could affect console retailers and distributors as well as the publisher, but the game has not been released and forecasts do not establish what consumers will spend. Take-Two’s guidance covers the entire group, not just Grand Theft Auto VI.
