AEON Bank Adds AI Financial Coach to Digital App

AEON Bank’s new free app feature uses AI coach Neko Sensei to assign customers one of four financial personas based on core money habits.

Kuala Lumpur, 27 October 2026 – AEON Bank has introduced Financial Purr-Sona, a free feature in its digital banking app that uses an artificial-intelligence coach, Neko Sensei, to analyse customers’ core financial habits and assign each user a money-management persona. The bank announced the feature on Tuesday. It names four personas: Tauke Tabung, Planner Pro Max, Boss Anti-Bazir and Hutang Slayer.

For Malaysian consumers, the launch puts personal-finance guidance inside a banking app rather than in a separate budgeting service. For investors and competitors, it is a product-development signal: digital banks are seeking ways to make routine app use more useful and distinctive. The announcement confirms the feature’s availability and design, but does not disclose adoption, customer outcomes or any effect on AEON Bank’s financial performance.
