Kuala Lumpur, 27 October 2026 – The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI rose 0.47% to 1,611.85 points on Tuesday, recovering from the previous session’s 0.45% decline. Trading activity also strengthened: volume reached 3.371 billion shares, compared with 2.904 billion a day earlier, while traded value increased to RM3.101 billion from RM2.148 billion. Advancers outnumbered decliners, with 683 counters higher, 590 lower and 571 unchanged.

The session matters to investors because the benchmark’s gain came with a wider rise in trading activity and positive breadth, rather than a move in the index alone. Those measures describe participation, not the reason investors bought or a signal that the advance will continue. The market-close data show an improved day after Monday’s pullback, while the KLCI remained 4.06% lower year to date.
