Kuala Lumpur, 1 October 2026 – Hong Leong Bank has been recognised at the Red Hat APAC Innovation Awards 2026 for Malaysia after modernising critical banking infrastructure using open-source cloud technologies to improve scalability, deployment speed and operational resilience.

The bank won in the Virtualization and Cloud-Native Development category, reflecting its shift away from legacy architecture and manual processes towards a more flexible, containerised environment.
