Kuala Lumpur, 30 September 2026 – Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation chief executive Anuar Fariz Fadzil is due to complete his two-year contract on 2 October and has told the agency’s board that he will not seek a renewal. The announcement marks a planned leadership transition, not an abrupt departure or an already completed appointment of a successor. MDEC says it secured close to RM180 billion in digital investments from more than 1,000 Malaysia Digital-status companies between 2025 and August 2026.
