Powerwell–Socomec Tie-Up Targets Malaysia’s Data-Centre Power Train Market

Powerwell’s Socomec collaboration expands its data-centre power offering, but the emailed announcement contains no contract value or committed orders.

Kuala Lumpur, 29 September 2026 – Powerwell Holdings Berhad has entered a strategic collaboration with Socomec’s Malaysian business to pursue power infrastructure work in the country’s large data-centre and hyperscale market. The arrangement broadens Powerwell’s proposed offering from electrical distribution equipment toward a more integrated power train, but it is not yet a disclosed project award.

Under the agreement, Powerwell International Sdn. Bhd., a wholly owned subsidiary, will act as system integrator for power train units, or PTUs. These factory-integrated modules bring together power distribution and uninterruptible power supply systems for data-centre facilities. Socomec Innovative Solution (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. will supply the UPS component, while Powerwell contributes its manufacturing and integration capabilities.
