San Francisco, 23 September 2026 – OpenAI has expanded the GPT-6 family with Sol and Luna, offering faster and cheaper options that bring elements of flagship Astra capability to higher-volume workloads. Standard short-context pricing lists GPT-6 Sol at US$2 per million input tokens, US$0.20 for cached input and US$10 per million output tokens. GPT-6 Luna costs US$0.10 per million input tokens, US$0.01 for cached input and US$0.50 per million output tokens. Long-context use is priced higher, making workload design an important part of total cost.
