UOB Creates Asean–Greater China Leadership Role to Capture Cross-Border Growth

Singapore, 18 August 2026 – UOB is creating a senior leadership role focused on Asean and Greater China, reflecting the bank’s effort to capture more trade, investment and wealth flows connecting the two regions.

Tan Choon Hin, currently UOB’s deputy chief risk officer, will become head of Asean and Greater China on September 1. He will oversee regional businesses across seven markets, including subsidiaries in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and mainland China, alongside branches in Hong Kong and Taiwan.
