Malaysia-Cambodia Trade Surge Opens Wider Export Path for Local Firms

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 17 August 2026 – Malaysia’s commercial relationship with Cambodia is entering a stronger expansion phase, with first-half trade growth and a larger exporter mission pointing to wider opportunities for Malaysian consumer, industrial and lifestyle brands.

Bilateral trade rose 51.1 per cent to RM3.32 billion in the first six months of 2026, compared with RM2.20 billion in the corresponding period a year earlier. Malaysia’s exports to Cambodia increased 40.9 per cent to RM2.45 billion, supported by petroleum products, metal manufactures, textiles, apparel and footwear, chemicals and processed food.
