Once celebrated as one of TVB’s famed “Five Tiger Generals,” legendary Hong Kong actor Felix Wong Yat-wah has effectively retired from acting in the wake of the passing of his beloved wife, Leung Kit‑wah, who died of organ failure in 2020.
In a heartfelt on‑camera confession shared recently, Wong revealed that life no longer held the same meaning without his partner—his self‑described “No. 1 fan.” Reflecting on their unique bond, he divulged that not only did she critique his performances with sharp insight, but her absence rendered the pursuit of his craft empty: “Now that she’s gone and can no longer see me act, what’s the point of continuing?”.
Rumours circulating online suggest that Wong has been unemployed for some time. A video clip from Xiaohongshu depicts the actor at a public event—signing autographs, engaging warmly with fans, and even checking whether someone had opened the gift they had brought him. Despite not working, it’s said he continues to draw upon savings and generously allocates part of his funds to purchase presents for supporters.
Today, instead of film sets or studio lights, Wong spends much of his time with Hong Kong’s Celebrity Football Team, frequently traveling into mainland China for matches. He also occasionally accepts invitations to perform, most recently making a guest appearance at a concert in Hong Kong.
Through this poignant transition, Felix Wong’s story evolves from star-studded fame to graceful retreat—a chapter defined by love, loss, and a bittersweet redefined purpose.
