Bangkok, 30 September 2026 – Thailand’s cabinet has approved about 4.1 billion baht, reported at roughly US$122 million, in emergency support for people affected by severe flooding. More than 2.6 million people have been affected since mid-September, according to reports on the government response. The funding is an approved relief allocation, not a completed distribution to every household or a full estimate of the disaster’s economic cost.
