SunCon’s RM1.02 Billion Johor Data-Centre Contract Extends Growth Visibility

Kuala Lumpur, 3 August 2026 – Sunway Construction Group Berhad has secured a RM1.02 billion fit-out contract for a data centre in Johor, reinforcing the listed contractor’s position in one of Malaysia’s fastest-growing infrastructure segments.

The award adds material revenue visibility at a time when advanced-technology facilities are reshaping the domestic construction market. Data-centre projects require complex mechanical, electrical, cooling, fire-protection and digital-control systems, making fit-out capability a higher-value specialisation than conventional building work.
