SC Charges Former Karex CFO With Insider Trading Over 2020 Share Purchase

Kuala Lumpur, 10 June 2026 – The Securities Commission Malaysia has charged former Karex Berhad chief financial officer Goh Chok Siang with insider trading, in a case involving the acquisition of Karex shares while allegedly in possession of material non-public information.

Goh, 54, was charged at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court under section 188(2)(a) of the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007. The charge relates to his acquisition of 150,000 Karex shares on July 22, 2020.
