Ringgit Opens Higher Against US Dollar as Traders Track Weaker Greenback

Kuala Lumpur, 30 June 2026 – The ringgit opened higher against the US dollar on Tuesday, tracking a softer US Dollar Index as traders positioned ahead of key United States labour-market and consumer confidence data.

At 8.03am, the local note strengthened to 4.0605/0730 against the greenback from Monday’s close of 4.0680/0735, extending its recent firmer tone as pressure on the US dollar eased.
