Kuala Lumpur, 3 November 2026 – Orkim Berhad has taken early delivery of Orkim Jade, expanding its fleet to 21 vessels and increasing total carrying capacity by 5.4% to 281,534 deadweight tonnes. The Malaysian-registered clean petroleum products tanker was delivered to wholly owned subsidiary Orkim Marine Sdn Bhd at Fujian Southeast Shipyard ahead of schedule. The company expects the 14,500-tonne vessel to begin commercial operations in November.

The delivery is part of a broader fleet expansion. Orkim said three vessels have joined its fleet in 2026 through a combination of resale acquisitions and newbuilding deliveries. It also confirmed another two tanker orders and plans to add five vessels between 2027 and 2029, beginning with the expected delivery of Orkim Ruby in 2027. The announcement did not state the cost, financing structure or individual delivery timetable for all the planned additions.
