KUALA LUMPUR, 11 September 2025 – Peoplelogy Bhd has unveiled a bold initiative to reshape Malaysia’s workforce for the digital age, bringing together leaders from business, education, government agencies, and social impact sectors in a coordinated push to close the country’s digital talent gap.
At the heart of the initiative is CxO Synergy: Build A Future Team (BAFT), a programme designed to align corporate resources, upskilling pathways, and community engagement. Over the next 36 months, BAFT is expected to raise RM100 million in collective value, comprising funding, in-kind contributions, and corporate participation, all directed toward sustainable workforce transformation.
Nationwide Upskilling Ambition
Peoplelogy has set an ambitious goal: to impact one million Malaysians through nationwide digital certifications, upskilling initiatives, and job placement programmes. The effort is aimed not only at youth entering the workforce but also at mid-career professionals seeking to reskill in line with evolving industry demands.
Founder and managing director Allen Lee underscored the programme’s philosophy: “Build A Future Team is more than a framework—it is a movement to unite leaders, lead with impact, and transform the digital workforce of tomorrow. Don’t just invest in programs. Invest in people. Don’t just build careers. Build a future team.”
Addressing Workforce Challenges
The launch event also convened panel discussions on urgent labour market issues, from talent shortages and the risks of failing to adopt artificial intelligence in the workplace, to the widening skills gap that threatens Malaysia’s competitiveness in the global economy.
Speakers highlighted the disproportionate effects on vulnerable groups, stressing that BAFT’s community-focused model will seek to create digital job opportunities for underserved groups, including women, rural youth, and underemployed graduates.
Strategic Significance
By framing the workforce challenge as both an economic and social imperative, Peoplelogy positions itself at the nexus of Malaysia’s digital transformation. The collaboration between corporates, educators, and policymakers signals an important step toward building a more resilient talent pipeline.
If successful, the initiative could serve as a model for public-private partnerships across ASEAN, reinforcing Malaysia’s aspiration to be a regional hub for digital talent.
