Menlo Park, 9 July 2026 – Meta Platforms has entered the fast-growing AI coding market with the launch of Muse Spark 1.1, positioning the company more directly against OpenAI, Anthropic and other leading developers of agentic artificial intelligence tools.
The new model gives developers access to coding, debugging and multi-step task execution capabilities through Meta’s public model API, marking a major step in the company’s attempt to turn its AI research into a monetisable developer platform.
