KUALA LUMPUR – Maxis Bhd delivered steady growth in the second quarter of 2025, supported by stronger service revenue and improved profitability, as the telecommunications group continued to focus on convergence, enterprise solutions, and digital services.
The company reported that its service revenue rose to RM2.23 billion, up from RM2.18 billion a year earlier, driven by growth in its postpaid, home connectivity, and enterprise business segments. Maxis also posted a higher profit after tax of RM370 million, compared with RM356 million in the same quarter last year, reflecting improved operational efficiency.
Chief Executive Officer Goh Seow Eng said the results highlight Maxis’ commitment to delivering value to customers while advancing Malaysia’s digital ambitions. “Our strong performance underscores the resilience of our core business and the continued demand for converged solutions. We remain focused on enabling digitalisation across households, enterprises, and the public sector,” he said.
Maxis added that its enterprise segment recorded double-digit growth, supported by demand for cloud, managed services, and cybersecurity solutions. The company also noted sustained momentum in home connectivity, where its fibre broadband services gained traction among households seeking reliable high-speed internet.
During the quarter, Maxis invested RM280 million in capital expenditure, primarily to enhance its mobile network and expand fibre infrastructure. The group said it remains committed to delivering superior connectivity nationwide while supporting the government’s digital economy agenda.
Maxis declared a second interim dividend of five sen per share, reflecting its ongoing commitment to shareholder returns.
Looking ahead, the company said it will continue strengthening its position as Malaysia’s leading converged solutions provider, leveraging its mobile leadership and expanding enterprise offerings to capture opportunities in the country’s growing digital ecosystem.
