Kuala Lumpur, 27 July 2026 – Affluent and high-net-worth investors in Malaysia are placing greater emphasis on building financial buffers as inflation, market volatility and uncertainty over future expenses reshape their wealth-management priorities.

A recent HSBC survey found that 43% of affluent Malaysian investors identified protection against inflation as one of their principal financial objectives. The findings suggest that wealth preservation is becoming increasingly important alongside the traditional pursuit of investment growth.
