Kuala Lumpur, 13 August 2026 – Malaysia and Hong Kong have formalised cooperation between their competition authorities, creating a framework to exchange information, strengthen investigations and address increasingly complex cross-border market conduct.
The memorandum links the Malaysia Competition Commission and the Hong Kong Competition Commission. It covers competition policy, legal frameworks and enforcement, reflecting the reality that supply chains, digital platforms, mergers and commercial agreements frequently operate across jurisdictions.
