Cheyenne, 6 November 2026 – Google announced a long-term US$17 billion investment on 5 November for its first data centre in Wyoming. The Alphabet subsidiary is working with Tallgrass Energy, Black Hills Energy, American Electric Power and Related Digital on the Laramie County project. Google’s announcement confirms the planned facility and partnerships, not that the full investment has been spent or the power system is operating. Those distinctions matter when translating a headline investment figure into expectations for orders, construction or cash flow.
