Gold Climbs as Diplomatic Momentum Eases Inflation Concerns

New York, 21 July 2026 – Gold prices advanced by more than 1% as investors responded to renewed diplomatic efforts aimed at easing tensions in the Middle East, raising hopes that lower energy prices could reduce inflationary pressures and lessen the need for further interest rate increases.

Spot gold climbed to around US$4,056 per ounce during trading, while US gold futures also moved higher as investors cautiously rebuilt positions following recent market volatility. The rebound came after bullion had struggled to regain momentum following its record highs earlier this year.
