Kuala Lumpur, 27 October 2026 – LPI Capital Berhad reported net profit of RM96.82 million for the third quarter ended 30 September 2026, down 15.7% from RM114.83 million a year earlier, as profitability in its general insurance business weakened. Quarterly revenue nevertheless increased 1.1% to RM555.52 million from RM549.31 million.
The result matters to Malaysian investors because it separates LPI Capital’s ability to sustain premium-related revenue from the harder question of converting that activity into earnings. The figures confirm that turnover held up during the quarter, while the profit decline points to pressure below the revenue line rather than a collapse in demand. That distinction is important for assessing the durability of returns in an insurance group exposed to claims, pricing, investment movements and operating costs.
