Kuala Lumpur, 26 October 2026 – Tenaga Nasional Berhad and Sinohydro Corporation Limited, together with Sinohydro Corporation (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, have reached an amicable settlement of their arbitration dispute over the Connaught Bridge power plant in Klang. The resolution was finalised through a consent judgment recorded by the Court of Appeal in Putrajaya on 23 April 2026 and closes all outstanding arbitration matters between the parties.

For investors, the settlement removes a long-running legal uncertainty linked to a major generation project, but the financial effect cannot be calculated from the announcement because the agreed terms were not disclosed. The parties said the resolution involved no admission of liability. Tenaga Nasional also stated that it does not affect the group’s future rights, legal position or business operations.
