Kuala Lumpur, 5 October 2026 – Malaysian semiconductor design company SkyeChip Bhd has joined a new Rapidus ecosystem supporting customers that want to develop leading-edge chips for Japan’s planned 2-nanometre manufacturing platform, giving the company a potential route into more advanced artificial-intelligence and high-performance-computing projects.

Rapidus established the Rapidus Collaborative Open Rapid Ecosystem, or Rapidus CORE, to connect customers with specialist companies able to support design and production. Its first initiative brings together 17 design businesses that can bridge gaps between chip concepts and manufacturing. SkyeChip is the Malaysian participant, contributing silicon intellectual property and integrated-circuit design expertise.
