Kuala Lumpur, 5 October 2026 – Foreign investors sold a net RM799.9 million of Malaysian equities over the latest week, extending outflows for a second consecutive week and shifting the burden of market support towards domestic institutions and retail investors.
Foreign institutions were net sellers on every trading day. Wednesday recorded the largest outflow at RM228.4 million, followed by Thursday at RM187.9 million, Tuesday at RM172.4 million, Monday at RM142.1 million and Friday at RM69.1 million. The broad daily pattern indicates sustained portfolio reduction rather than a single block transaction or an isolated reaction to one company announcement.
