Hong Kong, 4 October 2026 – Hong Kong’s equity-capital market delivered its strongest summer fundraising period on record as artificial-intelligence companies and their suppliers accelerated share sales despite a difficult backdrop for technology stocks. The third-quarter haul pushed fundraising in the city above US$92 billion for 2026 and brought the market within reach of the US$112.5 billion annual record set in 2021. Across Asia-Pacific, share sales exceeded US$120 billion during the quarter, the strongest comparable period in six years. Hong Kong’s contribution reinforces its position as a financing centre for Chinese technology groups seeking large pools of international and regional capital.
