Seoul, 1 October 2026 – Samsung Electronics has introduced its Galaxy Tab S12 series and a longer-lasting SmartTag3, sharpening its attempt to sell premium productivity hardware alongside services and connected-device features. The company announced the Tab S12 Ultra and Tab S12+ on 30 September, with selected-market availability starting 7 October. A more expensive tablet range may support average selling prices, but the investment case will depend on demand and margins rather than the launch specification alone.

The Ultra carries a 14.6-inch display, while the Plus has a 12.6-inch screen. Both ship with an S Pen and run Android 17 with One UI 9. Samsung says the Ultra is 5.1 millimetres thick and offers up to 23 hours of video playback on one charge; the Plus is rated at up to 21 hours. Those battery figures are company tests under defined conditions, not a guarantee of equivalent working-day use for every customer.
