Kuala Lumpur, 30 September 2026 – Maybank and Gallant Venture are moving the Bintan Inti Halal Hub into a 100-hectare development phase after completing a five-hectare pilot at Bintan Industrial Estate. The expansion is intended to link industrial space in Indonesia with financing, certification support and regional market access. For investors, the headline is not merely more land. It is an attempt to turn a halal manufacturing cluster into a more complete cross-border operating ecosystem, where tenants can secure capital and sell beyond a single domestic market.
Maybank plans to offer Islamic banking and other financial services to businesses operating in the hub, including trade and working-capital finance, foreign exchange and cash-management solutions. Such products address practical bottlenecks for manufacturers: equipment and inventory must be funded before export receipts arrive, and cross-border transactions expose firms to currency and settlement risk. The bank also intends to connect companies with halal certification support, business matching and its regional network.
