Asia-Pacific, 24 September 2026 – A BlackRock-backed consortium and IFM Investors have entered exclusive discussions over a potential purchase of Stack Infrastructure’s Asia-Pacific data-centre portfolio, according to people familiar with the matter. The possible valuation is reported at about US$20 billion to US$25 billion. No transaction has been announced as completed, and the price, financing structure and final assets remain subject to due diligence and negotiation.
The group is understood to include the Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure Partnership, a BlackRock-backed investment platform, alongside IFM. Exclusive talks give the bidders a focused opportunity to examine the portfolio; they are not a commitment to buy it. For investors, that distinction is crucial. Large infrastructure transactions can shift materially during technical review, debt arranging and regulatory clearance, and some do not proceed at all.
