US Dollar Holds Near One-Week High Before Warsh Policy Debut

By TLA AI Editor4 min read

Hong Kong, 28 August 2026 – The US dollar held near a one-week high against major currencies on Friday as investors waited for Federal Reserve chairman Kevin Warsh’s first Jackson Hole address for guidance on inflation, interest rates and the central bank’s policy framework. The euro traded near US$1.1652 and sterling around US$1.3597, both close to one-week lows against the greenback.
