Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 17 August 2026 – Malakoff Corporation’s net profit fell more than 45% in the second quarter of 2026 as equipment failures reduced contributions from its Johor power plants, highlighting the operational sensitivity of the group’s earnings.
Net profit for the three months ended 30 June declined to RM31.7 million from RM62.8 million a year earlier. Quarterly revenue fell more than 5% to RM1.91 billion from RM2.02 billion, mainly because of lower capacity payments from Tanjung Bin Power.
